The role involved researching the agriculture industry, interviewing growers and existing customers. Then taking those insights and designing a commercially viable product.

 

Product Manager – Reservations UX/UI

Tourism Holdings Limited
2018 - 2020

 

Tourism Holdings Limited (THL) are the largest provider of holiday vehicles for rent and sale globally.

As the Product Manager for Reservations, I was responsible for the running and optimisation of the B2C and B2B booking websites. As a key revenue stream the role was focused heavily on improving the customer experience and increasing conversion.

I was also asked to lead the UX on projects for THL’s iconic New Zealand tourism brands, Kiwi Experience and the Discover Waitomo Group.

TOGO Fleet is the new technology platform on which THL operate their global rental business. My role here was to help bridge the gap between the development teams and the business needs, by providing user centric designs.

Vend is a New Zealand startup SaaS success story. A global leader, with a culture that attracts the most talented people in the industry.

The Auckland design team serviced four international offices. Looking after vendhq.com the team was responsible for globally demand generation and Vend’s very unique B2B Brand. As part of this world class team, my Senior Designer role focused heavily on UX and UI design. Never far from the startup mentality, the role required me to be a proficient coder, capable of building what I designed.

ASB places their customers at the heart of everything they do. As an integral member of the experience and optimisation team, I was responsible for the creation and continuous improvement of ASB customers’ digital experiences.

The Digital Design Specialist role involved UX and UI design across all customer-facing digital platforms. It required conceptual and strategic design thinking, within a complex delivery environment, as well as the management of internal stakeholders and business objectives.

NZME
2006 – 2014

 

Joining NZME in 2006 I was fortunate enough to work with all NZME’s media formats (press, magazines, radio and outdoor), but my main focus within NZME was digital. I created designs for the APN Regional Network, NZ Woman’s Weekly and The New Zealand Herald. I was the Lead Digital Creative and part of the team that grew nzherald.co.nz to be one of NZ’s top 10 ranking websites.

At NZME I was also part of the commercial team, managing their ad serving platform. My role involved the development and delivery of digital advertising solutions. Creating (award-winning) campaigns for a variety of agencies and leading brands.

Cassette Design was a small design company founded by myself to facilitate freelance and contract positions. This role gave me the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients and small design studios, designing and developing websites and interactive media.
